It’s 2018. I’m doing NaNoWriMo again. Lord help us all.
For those who haven’t been following my blog since November 2014 (so basically if you’re not my mom or my sister), this is the second time I’m attempting NaNoWriMo which stands for National Novel Writing Month. The good news is, I finished the challenge in 2014 – I wrote 50k words in one month. Phew!
Now for this challenge? Well we’ll see. I’m not writing a novel, per say, it’s a non-fiction book about how to kick butt and do hard things.
(cough) kind of self helpy (cough)
Anyway, I had about 15k words before November. Then I loaded up with 3k right off the bat last week. And now I’m already behind. So basically…on par with where I should be. So I’m not going to do much blogging here…which isn’t really different than how I blog here anyway. But what I will do is leave you with some lovely NaNoWriMo memes for your pleasure.
So that’s it. Hoping to use this month to spit out enough to get this first draft done. BOOM GOES THE DYNAMITE.
Good luck! I am going to get to reading very soon. I promise! 🙂
Good luck! I am not a nonfiction writer, but maybe some November I will attempt what you are doing this year. What a challenge!
Have you hooked up with any local Nano groups. There really is something to be said for the pressure of a group writing. Your brain comes up with all sorts of words you didn’t know were in there. Good Luck!
